For the bride that loves an old time-y feel to her wedding, I would suggest that you are The Vintage Bride. And if you are looking for a beautiful venue to house your vintage wedding I would suggest the Garden venue at Eturnally Yours Weddings. It has the right touches of Vintage Chic you may be looking for.

What’s a good day and time for my wedding?

It’s always pretty hard to tell when a good time is to have your wedding. Because of not only your guests rl schedules, but also your wedding party’s schedules, and even the officiants. I think that the best days to have weddings are maybe a Sunday (most people have off from their rl work on Sundays) or on a weekday after the usual time that others get off of work (i.e. 5pm is the standard). Now because there are different time zones, ALWAYS make sure others are okay with that time or have nothing to do that day. Save the dates are always  good in this instance, which I will go over in another post. The reason I did not choose Saturday as a possible date is because usually people reserve those days  for rl events or getting together with friends. Thinking about all of this months ahead and letting others know will ensure that everyone you need will indeed be there for your wedding.

Yay my partner proposed! What do I do now?

The first thing a bride must do is figure out a budget. Laying out a budget for not only the entire wedding, but also for individual things such as the venue, dress, and flowers etc. can keep your eyes set to your vision as well as keep some money in your pocket! I believe a budget of about 20,000 – 40,000 lindens (about 200 us dollars) is a great start. The next thing is choosing a date. Setting a date that is at least 5-6 months away. That way you have enough time to save because we all know that buying lindens is not as big of a priority as paying real life bills. The next thing is to start thinking about the amount of guests you have coming to your wedding. The average guest list for an sl wedding is about 30 people. The next thing to figure out is what type of bride you are. Traditional? Non-traditional? Vintage? Glamour? or a themed bride. Knowing this will help narrow down your vision for your wedding, This will help narrow down your venue choices. The fifth thing you need to think about is your venue. I personally think that buying a pre-made venue and rezzing it in the sky will help to cut down on lag. Especially with the about of avatars and scripts involved in sl weddings. But picking a wedding sim will help with organizing. A lot of wedding sims provide not only officiants, but wedding planners that can help with color palettes and the processional.
